Beth’s Big Balloon Race was a great success. We released 400 balloons at Dangan National School in Summerhill Co. Meath where Beth would have started this September. All the kids were out and madly excited at the cloud of pink balloons that we released on a count of ten. The winds were high so the balloons took off like jets and became a pathway to the heavens for a couple of minutes.  Thank you so much to all the wonderful sponsors who donated and helped us reach our target.  Over € 2500 has been raised.  Thank you too to all our friends who helped on the day and to those who came out and and took part in the release.  What would we have done without you?

Two balloons have been found less than 24 hours after the release which took place at 1:30 pm the 16th May 2011.
